Portfolio & Travel Collections

  • Chris's botanical photography reveals the intricate beauty found in plant life. The flora collection showcases everything from delicate wildflower compositions in natural environments to the tropical plants and flowers in greenhouses.

  • The black and white collection represents Chris's most contemplative work, stripping away color to focus on form, texture, contrast, and emotional resonance. These images transform familiar natural scenes into studies of light and shadow.

Chris's black and white work demonstrates a masterful understanding of tonal relationships and the ability to see beyond surface appearances to capture the essence and mood of a scene.

  • Chris's waterfall photography captures the dynamic energy and serene beauty of cascading water in diverse environments. Each image showcases a different personality of flowing water.

The technical expertise evident in this collection demonstrates Chris's mastery of long exposure techniques, creating silky smooth water textures that contrast beautifully with sharp, detailed surrounding rock and vegetation. Some images freeze motion at fast shutter speeds, capturing individual water droplets and the explosive energy of falls crashing into pools below.

  • The wildlife collection reflects Chris's patience, field craft skills, and deep respect for animal subjects.

Chris's macro wildlife work reveals the intricate details and surprising beauty of subjects that most people never notice or consider.

  • Using bulb (manual shutter speed), to create amazing light trails.

  • I approach each hiking experience as both a physical challenge and visual storytelling opportunity. Each gallery contains information about the location, my own personal trail difficulty rating system, and trail maps.

There are still photos from when I first started in 2022 with a Canon Rebel T7 with the 18-55mm lens, and the upgraded Canon EOS R50 with the RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens in 2024.

The newest photos taken with the Canon R7 with the RF 24mm f/1.4 L Prime lens can always be found at the top of every collection that has them.
