Home to the tallest waterfall in Georgia, the 729 foot Amicalola Falls. The park's name is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning "tumbling waters".

Tallulah Gorge is a 1,000-foot deep gorge formed by the action of the Tallulah River and features 6 waterfalls.

With a height elevation of 4469 feet, the mountain is the Appalachian Trail's highest-elevation ascent in Georgia.

Split in 3 sections, the lower falls cascade 20 feet, while the middle and upper falls drop 80 feet. Surrounded by forest and gnarly rhododendron.
