Algonquin Peak, ADK, NY

Algonquin Peak is a mountain in the MacIntyre Range of the Adirondacks in the U.S. state of New York. It is the second-highest mountain in New York, with an elevation of 5,114 feet, and one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks.


How to get there

Van Hoevenberg Trail to Algonquin Trail

Must be in good physical condition, wear good hiking shoes/boots, and using trekking poles is highly recommended. Terrain conditions include steep inclines/declines, rock scrambling, uneven ground, very rooty and rocky trails. Please also beware of extreme changing weather conditions such as ice, snow, and freezing temperature drops near the summit.
